About this Facility

Zia Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol addiction recovery center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Their mission is to help adult clients achieve long term recovery through evidence backed treatment that helps improve all areas of their lives so that they may lead more fulfilling lives. They are a private facility with modern amenities. Zia Recovery Center provides care on an outpatient basis. Their treatment plan follows four phases that all clients progress through.

Zia Recovery Center’s ambulatory residential withdrawal management program is designed to prepare clients for what they will experience as they progress through treatment. Clients live at the facility and are cared for by staff as they undergo withdrawal, with the medical team closely monitoring them to make adjustments and keep them safe. Clients receive daily assessments during this time.

Clients continue to live at the facility during inpatient care, participating in a daily recovery activity schedule and enjoying the site’s luxury amenities. Staff are present 24 hours a day to tend to clients’ needs and ensure everyone’s safety.

During a week, clients are involved in 25 hours of group therapy. Clients also receive individual therapy and participate in 12 step groups. Inpatient treatment is focused on coping and recovery skills, personal motivation, accountability, and relapse education.

Clients who complete the inpatient program are transferred to a residential living house for the PHP portion of the program. This environment is less restrictive than inpatient care, but staff are still present 24 hours a day. PHP uses the same types of treatment, but group therapy meets for 15 hours a week rather than 25.

IOP sees clients living in shared apartments. While they continue treatment from PHP, they gradually take on more responsibilities reflecting life outside of treatment, such as finding employment and preparing meals. Staff are still present to help as needed and to supply transportation.

Clients return home for the outpatient program. By this point, clients have learned and practiced the fundamentals of the program. They continue attending treatment for two hour sessions three times a week. Upon completion of this level, the treatment plan is complete.

Aftercare is also known as discharge planning. In the final stages of the outpatient program, clients meet with their care team to discuss the next steps they will take as they transition into post recovery life. Aftercare connects clients with additional treatment resources if needed, identifies support resources in their community, and establishes future goals for them to work toward.

Level of Care

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

Outpatient

Clients enrolled in outpatient rehab programs may receive daily, biweekly, or weekly treatment while continuing to live at home. This enables clients to integrate their recovery care plan into their routine work and family schedule. Addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT) are the most common services offered at outpatient centers, but many also provide holistic therapies, such as meditation and massage, and ancillary services, such as career coaching.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) provide robust support for clients who choose to remain in their own homes or who are reintegrating into their community following inpatient care. IOP treatment generally consists of a combination of individual, group, and family counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and evidence-based holistic therapies. Many intensive outpatient rehabs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) for clients in alcohol and/or opioid recovery. Clients in IOP typically receive nine to 20 hours of treatment weekly.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
