About this Facility

Western Michigan Adult & Teen Challenge is a one year live-in discipleship program. We help adults struggling with alcohol & substance abuse, as well as those with other life-controlling issues. We are located in beautiful West Michigan, minutes from Lake Michigan. We have two campuses: one for men, which has 96 beds, and one for women, which has 54 beds.

At Western Michigan Adult and Teen Challenge, Students spend a year in our live-in discipleship program, learning how to have a relationship with God and breaking free from addiction through the power of Jesus Christ. They get their lives back on track and learn how to remain free from the bondage of addiction. Our students learn to function as a Christian in society, applying spiritually motivated, Biblical principals to relationships in the family, local church, chosen vocation, and the community. Western Michigan Adult and Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

We do this by teaching through firm moral principals grounded in the Word of God. We believe and promote these principals, as put forth in the Scripture, as the basis and foundation for healing, restoration and life recovery.

Western Michigan Adult and Teen Challenge requires only a one-time $300 entry fee, although we will not turn away anyone seeking help based on their inability to pay. We have both women’s and men’s program. The program is highly structured.

Alcoholism

Alcoholism is characterized by the excessive or compulsive use of alcohol, which does not stop despite negative consequences. This compulsive use leads to psychological and physical dependence.
