United Community Center (UCC) stands as a dual-diagnosis addiction treatment center in Milwaukee, WI. UCC strives to transform the lives of Hispanics, families, and individuals of all ages. With a deep-rooted understanding of the Latino community's needs, the center ensures that treatment approaches are linguistically aligned and resonate with cultural nuances.

UCC provides a wide range of levels of care and treatment services including: Gender-Specific Residential Treatment UCC offers specialized residential treatment environments, ensuring a supportive and tailored healing process. Residential treatment can include evidence-based therapies along with parenting education, social and recreational activities, and mental health counseling for co-occurring patients’ needs. Partial Hospitalization (Day Treatment) For individuals requiring comprehensive yet non-residential care, the partial hospitalization program offers a structured day treatment solution. Participants engage in intensive therapy sessions and activities, providing them with the tools needed for recovery without overnight stays. Outpatient Treatment UCC’s outpatient services offer flexibility and structured care. Tailored to individual needs, participants benefit from one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and a suite of therapeutic interventions, all while managing their daily responsibilities. Specialized Treatment for Pregnant and Post-Partum Women Understanding the unique challenges faced by pregnant and post-partum women with substance use disorders, UCC has designed a dedicated program. This specialized care ensures both the well-being of the mother and the child, offering medical oversight, counseling, and essential support services.

Outpatient

Clients who are admitted to an outpatient rehab may be stepping down from intensive inpatient care or may be transitioning directly from a detox facility. Outpatient treatment enables clients to remain in or return to their home, workplace, and community without compromising access to care. Clients engage in addiction counseling and recovery education and may also receive evidence-based complementary therapies, such as yoga, acupuncture, and massage. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is commonly available for clients in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. Linden Oak's Addiction Services unit is a separate area within Linden Oaks Hospital that offers treatment for those undergoing withdrawal as they stop the cycle of addiction. Patients are detoxified under the care of a psychiatrist, and their staff has specialized training to provide the medication, monitoring and support needed during the withdrawal process.
