About this Facility

Triumph Treatment Services - Inspirations (Triumph) is a mental health and addiction treatment center offering inpatient and outpatient programs for adults in Yakima, Washington. They provide community resources, psychiatric services, addiction treatment programs, and shelter beds.

Addiction and mental health related services offered at Triumph include clinical assessments and treatment planning for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders, psychosocial treatments, residential programs, standalone mental health outpatient treatment programs, outpatient addiction treatment, counseling, peer support programs, community referrals, psychopharmacological interventions (medication-assisted treatment), emergency shelter and transitional housing for women, men, children, and families.

Using a trauma-informed and culturally-responsive approach, assessments at Triumph help to evaluate patients for substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions, like anxiety. Their patient-centered treatment plan may begin with stabilization, which might involve an inpatient program, or patients could be referred straight to behavioral treatment. Behavioral therapies include individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, skill development, drama therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family counseling, and medication management. Counseling programs are available in person or via telehealth.

The outpatient clinic treats addiction and/or other co-occurring conditions using traditional, intensive, or individual treatments. The program begins with a clinical assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, relapse prevention services, skill building classes, case management, or care coordination. Sessions are held several days per week, depending upon the individual’s circumstances.

Located in the James Oldham Treatment Center, the substance use disorder treatment program for men has been in existence since 1984. Using a whole-person approach, Triumph clinicians develop individualized treatment plans and then engage in evidence-based therapies to improve the behavioral, emotional, and overall health of men in the program. Treatments include daily group sessions, physical activity, educational lectures, integrated family treatment, and individual therapy.

The Women’s recovery program at Triumph is for substance use and co-occurring disorders. Using a trauma-informed approach, clinicians support patients in getting to the root of their addiction, process trauma, and support enhancing overall mental and physical health. Like the men’s program, therapies are individual and in groups and involve educational workshops and comprehensive aftercare planning. There are also long-term pregnancy and postpartum services designed exclusively for early parenting.

PCAP is a three year intensive program designed for mothers who experience substance use disorders during pregnancy. The program provides resources and access to services and helps mothers achieve and maintain recovery.

At Triumph, no one will be denied access to services due to an inability to pay. Discounts are available. Medicaid, Tribal funding, and those uninsured are supported.

Treatment

Alcoholism

Alcoholism is a chronic condition that often includes periods of relapse. A person with his alcohol addiction has become physically and/or psychologically dependent on alcohol. Often, alcohol use disorders occur alongside other mental health disorders. It is important to receive dual diagnosis treatment for both. Alcohol rehab in Washington can address co-occurring disorders through a variety of behavioral therapies and evidence-based approaches.

Drug Addiction

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse

In Washington, dual-diagnosis rehabs provide comprehensive care for individuals facing both mental health and substance abuse challenges. These specialized facilities integrate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapy to address both aspects of your well-being. By providing personalized treatment tailored to your unique needs, addiction experts can help improve your mental health, help you achieve and sustain your recovery.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Level of Care

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

12-Step

12 step programs support participants’ psychological, spiritual, and emotional development as integral to sustained recovery. Though 12 step recovery programs are based on the belief in a non-denominational higher power, religious affiliation is not required. Group meetings are paper-led, anonymous, free, and available daily, including on holidays, in most communities. Peer sponsors selected by the participants provide one-on-one coaching and support. Specialized formats are widely available, including programming for youth, seniors, and families.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
