The Bridge offers adult outpatient treatment services and adolescent residential and outpatient services.

The adult outpatient program at The Bridge is for those who need to address a specific treatment plan and goal within a supportive environment. Individual treatment plans are created and supported throughout the duration of the program. Group therapy and support are provided as a way to offer therapeutic treatment, connection, and the shared goal of living a substance-free life. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.

The adolescent outpatient program at The Bridge is for individuals aged 12 to 18. The program is co-ed, and each person receives an individualized treatment plan that is based on their unique case. The program includes group support, wich helps adolescents create a sense of community and connection with others working through similar challenges. Families are encouraged to remain involved throughout the treatment process.

The adolescent residential program at The Bridge is for individuals aged 12 to 18. This program is best suited for those who need a high level of care and supervision at the beginning of their recovery journey. Participants focus on learning the tools needed to begin a new way of life that doesn’t include using substances to cope with challenges. Individual therapy, group therapy, and psycho-educational classes are provided.

Individual therapy creates the space to explore the psychological challenges associated with the addiction. With the help of a professional, individuals are given the space and direction to talk about and process their emotions. Often this includes unresolved trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and the need for more control or autonomy in life.

Expert clinicians utilize evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy to address addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges. Offering various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, or partial hospitalization programs — dual-diagnosis treatment programs can be tailored to meet your needs.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

These programs address substance use disorders using evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), counseling, and recovery support groups.

Level of Care

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Clinical Services

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
