About this Facility

Tarzana Treatment Centers is a drug rehab facility located in Lancaster, California. The center offers treatment for substance use disorder, alcohol use disorder, opioid and chemical dependencies, and co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Tarzana Treatment Centers provides detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), an outpatient program (OP), residential housing, dual diagnosis treatment, case management, 12-Step programs, and aftercare for adults and young adults. Specialized programs may be available for Veterans, teenagers and children, single mothers and pregnant women, and homeless and indigent populations. Telehealth options are available.

At Tarzana Treatment Centers, MAT clients undergo a personalized evaluation and receive a custom treatment program within the first hour. Detox can include Suboxone, Sublocade, Vivitrol, buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone. Treatments to reduce withdrawal symptoms can include methadone and buprenorphine. Clients have private rooms as they begin 12-Step programs and the transition into inpatient or outpatient programs. Transportation may be available.

Inpatient clients at Tarzana Treatment Centers engage in group and individual therapy. Additional services include recreational therapy, art therapy, motivational speakers, and symptom management from a team of psychologists, social workers, therapists, and clinicians. Life-skills development, family resources, and career development programs are provided. Specialized youth services may be available for teenagers to prevent relapse. Stays typically range from three to 14 days.

Partial hospitalization is available weekdays for six hours per day. Clients receive group therapy and counseling, peer support, trauma therapy, psychiatric assessments, and strategies to prevent relapse. Clients develop life skills to sustain independent sobriety.

Clients in Tarzana Treatment Centers’ intensive outpatient program attend treatment three days per week for three hours per day. Clients participate in skills-building activities and group support through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches. Clients are encouraged to build healthy relationships in their personal and professional lives as they maintain sobriety. Clients may still be eligible for medication-assisted therapy for co-occurring disorders.

Clients in the outpatient program attend sessions in the early morning, late afternoons, or evenings, for up to nine hours per week. This three-week process includes group and individual therapy, where clients build skills to cope and manage their cravings and withdrawals, address personal problems, and participate in 12-Step programs. Medication-assisted therapy (MAT) is still available for opioid and alcohol use disorders. The youth outpatient program is available weekday afternoons and evenings and all-day Saturday for up to six hours per week.

During Tarzana Treatment Center’s outpatient treatment, clients may be available for residential housing in the Recovery Bridge Housing programs. Clients build independence through daily routines and peer support and resist relapse. Homeless/indigent clients and those in danger of relapse are given a higher priority. Pregnant women and mothers with children may be eligible for specialized housing. Housing is available in three-month intervals with a maximum of six months.

Clients who complete the OP enter aftercare for up to six months. Aftercare services include continuous group therapy and meetings to ensure a healthy balance of nutrition, sleep, and exercise. Clients may continue to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous or other community-based care. Tarzana Treatment Centers may make additional referrals for specialized outside services.

Treatment

Alcoholism

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug Addiction

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance Abuse

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab’s clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

Level of Care

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
