Salvation Army – Harbor Light Center is a free drug and alcohol rehab in Chicago, Illinois. They provide inpatient and outpatient treatment options, as well as transitional career services, in an effort to support individuals to overcome addiction, better their lives, and return to the community.
Addiction treatment services included at the Salvation Army – Harbor Light Center are intensive drug and alcohol rehab, intensive outpatient treatment, and adolescent substance abuse treatment.
Intensive inpatient treatment The intensive rehabilitation unit (IRU) provides residential addiction treatment for 20 men who have already gone through detox. This program prepares them for sober independent living.
Intensive outpatient treatment The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for individuals who have been through inpatient treatment, but still need long-term care. This program is for men and women and provides group services, educational sessions, and support groups.
Adolescent substance abuse treatment A specific program for teens aged 13-27 is offered utilizing evidence-based support tailored to the emotional and developmental needs of teens. The trauma-informed treatment team understands the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of teens.
