Recovery Network offers drug rehab services that include residential treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient services and aftercare programming for men and women.

Residential Recovery Network’s- 25th Street is a residential program is an intensive 6-12 month treatment program that is staffed 24 hours a day. Those best suited for residential treatment are unable to live on their own and participate in addiction treatment due to lack of mental or physical stability, or inability to adhere treatment requirements without additional support. Their program is based on the disease concept of chemical dependency, as well as twelve-step recovery programs. The primary goal for each patient is re-entry back into the community.

Intensive Outpatient Intensive outpatient treatment at Recovery Network- 25th Street requires between 9 and 12 hours of treatment each week, with a focus on individual and group counseling. Patients are expected to attend sessions three to four times each week in a structured treatment setting. This provides more stability for those who are at a higher risk of relapse than those in traditional outpatient programming.

Outpatient Traditional outpatient counseling is provided in the form of individual, group, or a mixture of these services. This program meets less frequently than intensive outpatient, but still provides support, education, and community.

Aftercare Aftercare treatment is provided to individuals who have completed inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment. The focus of this program is on continuing relapse prevention and maintaining positive coping skills while reintegrating back into a normal routine and lifestyle. Individual and group therapy are primary treatment modalities. Patients typically attend group therapy once per week as a continued maintenance support. Individual counseling may also continue on a regular basis.

Treatment

Alcoholism

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), commonly referred to as alcoholism, can be classified as mild, moderate, or severe. Each category involves unhealthy patterns of alcohol consumption and can cause harmful effects. To treat alcohol addiction at any level, alcohol rehab in Maryland is often necessary. These treatment programs provide psychological, social, and medical supports that help individuals overcome alcohol addiction and maintain long-term recovery.

Drug Addiction

Once a person has become addicted to a substance, drug rehab in Maryland is often necessary to overcome that addiction. These programs provide the tools individuals need to manage the physical, mental, and emotional issues involved and begin a successful recovery journey.

Dual Diagnosis

Maryland's addiction experts understand the importance of dual-diagnosis addiction treatment in their inpatient and outpatient recovery programs. Dual-diagnosis means having two mental health disorders at the same time, like addiction and depression. By treating individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions simultaneously, they can enhance recovery outcomes and improve overall health, reducing the risk of relapse. Programs include evidence-based therapies, family counseling, recovery support groups, and skills training. Additional services may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step facilitation, equine therapy, complementary treatments, and alumni programs.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse

Maryland dual-diagnosis rehabs typically offer comprehensive care to individuals with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. You can usually find inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs tailored to your specific needs. These specialized addiction treatment facilities combine evidence-based therapies — such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) — with experiential therapies like mindfulness, with the goal of treating both mental health disorders and providing you with the tools to stay sober.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Level of Care

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Inpatient

Recovery Network’s residential program is an intensive 6-12 month treatment program. Each facility is a structured recovery environment and is staffed 24 hours per day and seven days per week. Individuals placed in residential care are in need of a safe and stable environment conducive to their recovery process. Services are provided both in the individual houses as well as Recovery Network’s main clinical office. Their program is based on the disease concept of chemical dependency, as well as twelve-step recovery programs. The primary goal for each patient is re-entry back into the community. Residential treatment includes an in-depth bio-psychosocial assessment and treatment planning; individual and group counseling; dual diagnosis evaluation and treatment; referrals for rehabilitation and educational training; coordination of aftercare treatment services; and assistance in utilization of community resources for employment, medical or legal issues.

Sober Living Homes

You’ll typically find a sober living home in Maryland located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. These private residences are designed to offer a low-stress but structured environment where residents can focus on their ongoing recovery efforts and receive support to maintain sobriety. Several individuals, all of whom are in recovery, share the halfway house. This type of communal living helps decrease relapse, increase employment rates, and helps individuals hone their recovery skills.

Intensive Outpatient

Clients who are leaving inpatient rehab often choose to transition into an intensive outpatient program (IOP) to receive high-level support as they reintegrate into their home, workplace, and community. Intensive outpatient rehab also benefits those at risk of relapse. Clients typically participate in nine to 20 hours of treatment weekly, with modalities ranging from psychotherapy to addiction and recovery education. Many programs also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) and complementary care, such as nutrition counseling, and acupuncture.

Outpatient

Clients who are exiting detox or intensive inpatient treatment often enroll in outpatient rehab programs to ensure a robust continuity of care. Outpatient programs allow clients to remain in or return to their homes and workplaces while continuing to receive treatment, which typically includes addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, at an outpatient facility.

12-Step

12 step programs provide accessible peer coaching for participants at all stages of their recovery journey. Meetings are peer-led, anonymous, free, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring by a self-selected sponsor. 12 step recovery is based on spiritual principles, which enable participants to understand their disease, accept responsibility for their choices, and relinquish control over that which is unchangeable. Religious affiliation isn’t required and specialized formats are available.

Aftercare Support

Aftercare treatment is provided to those individuals who have completed inpatient or IOP treatment. The focus of this program is on continuing relapse prevention and maintaining positive coping skills. Individual and group therapy are primary treatment modalities. Patients typically attend group therapy 1x/week, although this could vary depending on patient needs and the recommendations of counselor.

24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Clinical Services

Couples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

lcoholism and drug abuse have devastating effects on everyone closest to the addict. We believe that recovery from addiction is most successful when the family is involved in treatment. The following services are available to those families willing to participate in a patient’s treatment: family education, family therapy, couples counseling, multi-family group meetings, counseling for significant others, introduction to 12-steps programs and parenting education.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
