About this Facility

Operation PAR- 54h Avenue North is located in St. Petersburg, Florida. They provide substance abuse treatment by holding a holistic view of recovery that pairs participants with women’s organizations, job training programs, educational groups, and housing specialists.

Operation PAR- 54h Avenue North offers inpatient detox, outpatient detox, and medication assisted treatment.

Medically supervised detox helps provide safety and comfort during the detoxification process. Vital signs are monitored, and trained staff work to ensure the acute phase of detox is successful. This process can be dangerous if done alone and requires medical training and knowledge. PAR creates a comprehensive detox plan for each patient that encompasses screening, supervision, and stabilization. The average length of this program ranges from 3 – 6 days.

If Operation PAR determines that detoxification is suitable in the home, it will be performed over a longer period of time than if done inpatient to allow for safety and regular monitoring over time. This process takes 10-14 days on average, and short term living arrangements may be provided for the duration of the detox. Individual counseling is also provided.

At Operation PAR, the medication assisted treatments are offered at an outpatient medical clinic. Individual treatment plans will be created upon completion of the initial assessment and prior to starting the treatments. This program combines medications with counseling by trained staff to treat the mental and emotional aspects of addiction. By combining medication with counseling, there is a greater chance of success for continued success upon completing the program.

Individual therapy creates the space to explore the psychological challenges associated with addiction. With the help of a professional, individuals are given the space and direction to talk about and process their emotions. Often this includes unresolved trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and the need for more control or autonomy in life.

Treatment

Alcoholism

When a person has alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism or alcohol addiction, they experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop drinking. This physical dependence results from overuse of alcohol, which may be used as a coping mechanism or escape. Individuals who have AUD can overcome the alcohol addiction through alcohol rehab in Florida. This treatment process involves essential therapy and supports to help the individual achieve and maintain recovery.

Drug Addiction

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Level of Care

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Operation PAR provides residential substance abuse treatment for adults based on their individual clinical needs. Length of stay may vary. Individuals may take part in a menu of services.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Clinical Services

Creative Arts Therapy

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
