Omega Counseling is a substance abuse and behavioral health treatment center for adults in Phoenix, Arizona. They accept clients voluntarily and through court orders.
Omega Counseling specializes in individual and group therapy and education classes covering a wide range of topics. Those topics include DUI education, parenting classes, offender treatment, relationship skills, anger management, domestic violence treatment, indecent exposure treatment, marijuana treatment, and substance abuse education and treatment. Services are offered on an outpatient basis.
Also known as day programs, outpatient treatment is a low level of care for stable clients with mild symptoms. Clients continue to live at home while participating in this program. They visit the facility on a regular basis to receive treatment. Clients with severe symptoms that need closer supervision may be referred to another facility for inpatient treatment.
Outpatient treatment is tailored to the needs of each individual (with the exception of court-ordered treatment, when the program is mandated by the legal system). The outpatient program focuses on therapy and education to help clients understand their symptoms and teach them life and coping skills.
The substance abuse program is available in both English and Spanish. Some sessions are available online.
Clients looking to enroll in a rehabilitation program should confirm coverage with their insurance provider first, as in network and out of network benefits may vary.

It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
