Northwest Alabama Treatment Center (NATC) is an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab for adolescents and adults in Bessemer, Alabama. They offer dual diagnosis care, medically supervised ambulatory detox, medication assisted treatment (MAT), general outpatient (OP) care, and aftercare planning and support. Gender-specific and specialized services are available for teens, young adults, seniors, pregnant and postpartum women, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ persons, and military personnel and veterans.
Treatment at NATC includes comprehensive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and case management. Referrals for acute and subacute inpatient care are available as needed.
Clients undergoing ambulatory detox receive robust medical supervision and may be prescribed FDA-approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms and prevent complications. Those in alcohol and/or opioid recovery may enroll in their evidence-based MAT program for longer-term pharmacotherapy.
Clients in outpatient treatment engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling drawing on proven modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, recovery-focused life skills training addressing topics such as coping, self-care, and relapse prevention.
