Newport Beach Recovery Center, located in Newport Beach, California, offers inpatient medical detox, residential alcohol and drug rehab, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and general outpatient care for adult men and women. They offer dual-diagnosis care, gender-specific treatment, and sober living options.
During inpatient medical detox, patients are monitored 24/7 for withdrawal symptoms and discomfort, with medical professionals available to provide treatment. Staff also create a treatment plan so participants are emotionally and mentally ready to take the next step in recovery.
Residential treatment services include group, family, and individual therapy; medication management; addiction education; life-skills training; and relapse prevention. Approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based methods, along with art therapy and other holistic treatment options.
Outpatient addiction care often follows the completion of a residential program. The IOP meets several times per week for a few hours per session, while the general outpatient program meets a few hours per week. Both offer services similar to residential care. Participants may live in the program’s sober living homes while attending outpatient care.
Newport Beach Recovery Center is in-network with Aetna and Cigna insurance and may also accept other providers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Beacon, ComPsych, Amerigroup, and Magellan Health. Because insurance plans vary, be sure to check coverage information and out-of-network benefits with your insurer directly.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.
Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.
