Residential treatment at NMC is designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. These drug rehab programs and be low or high intensity and require different lengths of time commitment from residents. During their stay, residents receive 24/7 care in a therapeutic community while receiving intensive support, supervision, and evidence based treatments.
Outpatient treatment options are also available at NMC, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). These programs offer a less intensive level of care while still providing structured therapy sessions and support. PHP typically involves daily treatment sessions five days a week, while IOP offers a flexible schedule three days a week to accommodate individuals’ needs.
NMC utilizes evidence based therapies to guide treatment interventions. These therapies may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness based practices, trauma focused therapies, and other modalities proven effective in addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
NMC also provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy as an advanced noninvasive treatment option for individuals with neurobehavioral disorders. TMS therapy uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain, targeting symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and other related conditions. This innovative therapy has shown promising results in improving mood, reducing symptoms, and enhancing overall well being.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive way of stimulating the brain in order to help with symptoms of depression. TMS uses elecromagnetic coils to deliver magnetic pulses to the brain, which can improve a patient's mood and ease depression. It's often used when other depression treatments haven't worked.
