Mercy Perinatal Recovery Network is a faith-based private rehab located in Sacramento, California that primarily assists perinatal mothers suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. This drug rehab facility provides holistic residential care, outpatient treatment, and aftercare support.
Holistic residential care takes a whole-person healing approach, addressing the individual’s mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Clients reside on campus while they receive treatment, which includes individual and group therapy, life skills development, and education programs.
The outpatient program is for those who do not need to stay on campus. Individuals commute to treatment on a part-time schedule to attend individual and group therapy sessions.
Alumni receive resources after completing their program. Individuals can continue counseling, access recovery education, and receive referrals to other programs.
Mercy Perinatal Recovery Network accepts Medicare as well as private insurance. Several insurance providers that are accepted include Aetna, Amerigroup, United Healthcare, Ambetter, and BlueCross/BlueShield. Be sure to contact your provider, as out-of-network benefits vary.

Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
