About this Facility

LSSI Addiction Treatment Center–Chicago Belmont is a drug and alcohol rehab for adolescents and adults in Chicago, Illinois. They offer medically supervised detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), general outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare programming.

LSSI Addiction Treatment Center–Chicago Belmont provides 12-Step-focused addiction recovery programs. Specialized programming is available for young adults, justice-involved persons, and persons with co-occurring addiction and serious mental illness (SMI).

Clients undergoing detox receive robust medical supervision and may be prescribed FDA-approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms and prevent potentially serious complications. Those in alcohol and/or opioid recovery may enroll in the evidence-based MAT program for longer-term pharmacotherapy.

The center’s inpatient programs allow clients to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management are included for all clients. Participants also engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling drawing on proven modalities including CBT, DBT, REBT, and motivational interviewing. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, age-specific, recovery-focused life-skills training that addresses topics such as coping, self-care, wellness, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention. Court-mandated programming and DUI courses are available.

Their outpatient programs encompass multiple levels of care to align with clients’ evolving needs. Aftercare support may include step-down assistance, supportive and emergency housing, 12-Step program facilitation, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs.

LSSI Addiction Treatment Center–Chicago Belmont accepts private insurance, sliding-scale payment schedules, Medicaid, and self-pay. Financial aid is available.

Treatment

Alcoholism

Alcohol use disorder (alcoholism) can be severe, moderate, or mild. Symptoms include spending a lot of time drinking, wanting to stop but being unsuccessful, and feeling strong cravings that lead to overuse of alcohol. At any severity level, alcohol addiction is treatable through alcohol rehab in Illinois. Most comprehensive rehab programs include medical detox, inpatient rehab, and ongoing alcohol counseling/support (maintenance).

Drug Addiction

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance Abuse

In Illinois, comprehensive substance abuse treatment programs are available for individuals struggling with substances and their mental health. These programs offer various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization options. Skilled clinicians utilize evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to address substance abuse and improve your mental health. You’ll also learn strategies to cope with relapse triggers and deal with stress.

Level of Care

Outpatient

Clients in outpatient rehab receive a variety of services based on their unique and evolving needs. Typical outpatient treatment modalities include individual, group, and family counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many programs also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) for clients recovering from alcohol and/or opioid dependency. Clients exiting inpatient treatment or those who are at an elevated risk of relapse may engage in more robust treatment, such as intensive outpatient (IOP) programming.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) enable clients to receive high-level care while living at home. Clients may choose to enter IOP instead of enrolling in inpatient care post-detox or they may transition from an inpatient rehab into IOP. Intensive outpatient treatment involves multiple therapeutic sessions per week and includes a combination of psychotherapy and addiction and recovery education. Many programs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) and/or holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and massage.

Clinical Services

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
