Located in San Diego, California, Live and Let Live Alano Club provides 12 Step meetings for individuals struggling with codependency. It is important to note that they are not an alcohol and drug rehab center, but instead focus on helping those who are struggling due to their relationship with an addict in their lives.
Live and Let Live Alano Club functions on an outpatient basis. Individuals attend regular meetings, find a sponsor, learn about the principles and traditions outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, work the steps, and eventually sponsor others. Individuals are responsible for their own healing and are encouraged to attend as many meetings necessary to support themselves in learning how to live a healthy life. This is a peer-led meeting not run by professionals.
Many people continue with 12 Step programming throughout their lifetime in order to maintain a sense of community and to keep themselves accountable for their choices. If a person also wants to see a therapist to gain additional support, they may choose to receive mental health treatment from a professional.
Live and Let Live Alano Club is located in San Diego, California, does not accept insurance. If a person wants to use insurance to pay for any type of treatment, they are encouraged to contact their provider to learn more about their options because out of network benefits may vary.

Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.
