About this Facility

Life Recovery Center – 16th street is a drug and alcohol treatment center that supports adults with substance use disorders. AMITA Health (part of Ascension) also provides valuable community resources, such as primary care, psychiatric services, adult treatment, and family support services.

Addiction-related services at Life Recovery Center – 16th Street include mental health assessments, counseling, outpatient programs, and peer support services.

Assessments help drug and alcohol counselors evaluate participants’ mental health to create an individualized treatment plan, which may involve individual, group, family, and Christian counseling.

There are four levels of care in the IOP at Life Recovery Center. Level one requires three-hour treatment sessions three times per week for 10 to 12 weeks; level two meets for two hours three times a week; level three meets twice a week, and level four meets once per week for 10 to 30 weeks. Each level of care includes individual and group counseling, skills development groups which cover topics like relationships and parenting, and other life-related challenges.

The peer support program is offered by individuals with lived experience of addiction and recovery. Called Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Specialists, these individuals can provide ongoing support, help connect participants with resources, and help individuals in achieving their goals.

Treatment

Alcoholism

If a person has alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism, they experience a desire or physical need to consume alcohol. A person with AUD may try to stop drinking but they are unsuccessful without professional help. Alcohol rehab in Indiana can provide the resources necessary to achieve and maintain recovery. Rehab programs typically involve a combination of medical, behavioral, and social supports to overcome alcohol addiction.

Drug Addiction

For long-term recovery from drug addiction, drug rehab in Indiana is often key. This treatment gives individuals who are struggling with a substance use disorder the tools to manage their disorder and achieve long-term sobriety.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance Abuse

Indiana provides substance abuse treatment programs for individuals with substance use disorders. With a range of care levels, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization programs, you’ll be able to find the right treatment for you. Programs usually include a substance abuse evaluation, evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and group therapy address substance abuse and enhance coping strategies. By offering personalized treatment plans and a supportive environment, these programs strengthen your ability to maintain your recovery.

Level of Care

Outpatient

Outpatient rehab programs provide flexibility and choice for clients who do not require intensive inpatient treatment. Clients remain in their own homes and may continue to work or attend schools while in active recovery. Outpatient treatment typically includes addiction counseling and continuing recovery education, including courses in self-care and relapse prevention. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available in many treatment centers for clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery.

Intensive Outpatient

Persons who require high-level support but who do not wish to leave their homes or communities may enroll in an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients typically commit to a minimum of nine treatment hours across three therapeutic sessions per week, but many programs offer up to 20 hours of care weekly. Most intensive outpatient rehabs provide a combination of psychotherapy, recovery education, and holistic care. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is widely available for those in alcohol or opioid recovery.

Clinical Services

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
