Kirkpatrick Family Center is an intensive drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Longview, Texas, exclusively serving women. Their goal is to help women achieve their potential, no matter what roles they play, through a safe and structured educational environment. They are a residential facility with home like amenities. Kirkpatrick Family Center is part of the Community Healthcore program. They allow children to reside with their mothers during treatment.
A residential program has clients living at the facility while they receive treatment. They remain at the facility where they have all of their needs met and have access to extended care. Staff are on hand 24 hours a day to monitor and help clients.
Treatment at Kirkpatrick Family Center treatment plan focuses on education and training. Clients follow a structured schedule and engage in classes with one another and mentor staff. Subjects include group process, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) education, reproductive health education, parenting classes, HIV/STD education, and smoking cessation.
Staff at Kirkpatrick Family Center are members of the local community who are licensed professionals equipped to help people overcome SUD.
Kirkpatrick Family Center serves women 18 or older but prioritizes clients based on various factors following the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) guidelines. They are, in order: -Pregnant injecting individuals -Pregnant substance users -Injecting drug users -Individuals identified as being at high risk of overdose -Individuals referred by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) -Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability -All other populations
Staff determines client eligibility during the screening process. During this time, staff assess clients for financial eligibility and determine which payment options they qualify for based on their situation.
The Joint Commission, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration, and the National Committee for Quality Assurance accredited Community Healthcore and its services (including Kirkpatrick Family Center).
