Inland Valley Recovery Services, located in San Bernardino, California, is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides outpatient treatment to adults age 18 and older. They are a part of a larger organization that provides community-based mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and adults.
The outpatient program focuses on prevention services, crisis counseling, case management services, peer support services, relapse prevention, community workshops, and social events such as movie night, game night, or karaoke night. Clients are encouraged to connect with others in recovery to establish a community that is uplifting and supportive of their transformation. The outpatient program also provides 12-step meetings daily, which include Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and Alanon meetings. Alumni groups are also available. If it is determined that an individual needs a higher level of care, they would be encouraged to work with a treatment center that provides partial hospitalization programming, inpatient treatment, or residential treatment levels of care.
Inland Valley Recovery Services accepts most major medical insurance plans, including Value Options, Covered California, Meriain, Covered California, Health Net, Cigna, Amerigroup, Aetna, and more. Out-of-network benefits may vary, so it’s important to verify coverage with the provider before starting treatment

Chemical dependency is often referred to as a Family Disease and can present unique problems within the family unit. It can and does envelop the entire family. Therefore, IVRS - San Bernardino likes to include the family in the treatment process whenever possible. They also offer education classes to family members who would like to visit someone in our residential programs. Attendance at these classes help the visits to be constructive and safe for everyone and are designed to give you an idea of what to expect from a loved one in rehabilitation.
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
