Harmony Women’s Recovery Center, located in San Diego, California, provides alcohol and drug rehab services to women. Their program is provided through a residential level of care and focuses heavily on the unique needs of women suffering from addiction.
The residential program provides around-the-clock supervision to individuals who need a high level of care at the initial stages of treatment. Individual therapy, group therapy, case management services, processing groups, personalized treatment plans, psychoeducational classes, and trauma-informed treatment are provided. The purpose of this program is to help women identify the core areas of challenge in their lives that have perpetuated their addictive tendencies to cope with their life circumstances. Clients learn healthy coping skills and receive support in processing difficult past experiences that are keeping them stuck in an addictive cycle.
Upon completion of the residential treatment program, clients often move down into an outpatient or aftercare program. This allows them to continue their treatment while living in their home or a sober living home.
Harmony Women’s Recovery Center accepts most insurance plans, including Anthem, HCSC, Kaiser, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Brightstar Health, ComPsych, and more. Out-of-network benefits may vary, so it’s important to verify coverage with the provider before starting treatment.

There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
