During dual diagnosis addiction treatment, you receive care for both an addiction and a mental health disorder simultaneously. You are provided 24/7 access to medical staff and mental health experts from the start to the finish of your dual diagnosis program. Mental health services typically provided include individual and group counseling, relapse prevention education, and therapy modalities that have a cognitive or a behavioral focus.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
