Discovery Program

Discovery Program, with a location in Los Angeles, California, offers partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) to adults and adolescents ages 11 and up. Services include adolescent-specific programs, medication management, and free support groups.

The Discovery Program PHP meets six hours per day, five days per week. Services include individual, group, and family therapy; medication management; life-skills training; and referrals to alcohol and drug rehab treatment if appropriate. Approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

The IOP at Discovery Program meets three to five times per week in the evenings, for up to six weeks. Services are the same as the PHP program. After treatment ends, Discovery Program helps connect clients to ongoing care and community resources to help them remain healthy and stable.

Discovery Program accepts a wide range of insurance plans, including HealthNet, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Beacon, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, ValueOptions, and United Healthcare. Be sure to verify coverage information, such as out-of-network benefits, by contacting your insurer directly.
