The Jones Avenue location of Catholic Family Center is a faith based nonprofit organization that specializes in outpatient substance use disorder treatment for adults in the Rochester area of New York. They offer a full continuum of addiction care, including clinical assessment and treatment planning, outpatient treatment, recovery focused care, counseling, skill development, and comprehensive aftercare.

Catholic Family Center provides comprehensive mental health assessments, which evaluate patients for substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. This helps clinicians and support staff devise an individualized treatment plan. Therapeutic treatments may include motivational interviewing, individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, skill development, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, relapse prevention, and family counseling.

Catholic Family Center offers faith based counseling and religious support as part of their commitment to ministry. While treatments are focused on providing stabilization, support, recovery services, and community, patients may also be offered religious counseling and a suggestion to develop a connection with a higher power. 

The outpatient clinic at Catholic Family Center treats addiction and/or other co-occurring conditions. The program includes a thorough clinical assessment, individualized treatment planning, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention support and planning, skill building for insight and recovery, and encouragement to build connections to community recovery supports. Sessions are held several days per week, depending upon the individual’s circumstances. Services offered are separated by gender. The women’s outpatient program also includes pregnancy and postpartum support.

Catholic Family Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, state funding, private insurance plans, and self pay. There are sliding scale and financial assistance options available. No one is refused care due to an inability to pay.
