Through a new funding model for Medicaid, Burrell Behavioral Health Center offers a wide array of levels of care and treatment programs including:
Burrell Behavioral Health Center provides a safe environment for individuals to undergo detoxification in a communal setting known as social setting detox. Social setting detox is a non-medical, residential service that lasts for three days. This method promotes peer support as clients navigate withdrawal.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based method provided by Burrell. MAT combines FDA-approved medications with counseling, vocational training, psychosocial therapy, family support, and connections to community resources.
Depending on individual needs, Burrell offers community-based primary treatment. It is the most structured, intensive, and short-term service offered at least five days a week. Clients may require residential treatment if necessary.
For individuals who can continue their everyday activities but still need substantial support, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides rigorous treatment sessions. This level of care offers a minimum of 10 hours of structured services each week.
Post-intensive treatment, Burrell offers a supportive recovery program. This ensures that individuals receive continued care and support as they transition back into their community. This level of care offers a minimum of three hours of structured service per week.
Understanding the intersection of substance use and legal issues, Burrell collaborates with judicial systems to provide treatment court services. It provides therapeutic interventions with the aim to reduce recidivism and fostering societal reintegration.
Designed specifically for individuals who’ve faced traffic offenses due to substance use, SATOP provides education and counseling to prevent future incidents.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
