About this Facility

Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA) is a mental health recovery and drug and alcohol addiction treatment center in St. Louis, Missouri. ARCA helps adult clients overcome behavioral health issues through a multidisciplinary approach to integrated care. They are a private facility with clinical amenities. ARCA operates three outpatient treatment facilities in and around St. Louis. In addition to treatment centers, they have 12 transitional living houses to support those in or who have completed a treatment program.

Outpatient treatment, commonly known as a day program, sees clients visiting the treatment center to receive care. At ARCA, clients work through a treatment protocol by attending individual and group therapy every week. Therapy helps clients understand the nature of addiction and the roots of their addictive behaviors and develop healthy coping skills to sustain recovery.

ARCA’s outpatient program is flexible, so clients won’t have to miss work, school, or other obligations to receive treatment. They have access to a care team of psychiatrists, nurses, physicians, and therapists to address their health concerns.

To help clients struggling with addiction symptoms, ARCA can prescribe medications approved for reducing or eliminating cravings. MAT helps clients overcome this difficult hurdle so they can focus on and engage in treatment with their full attention. MAT is closely monitored to ensure client safety.

ARCA offers outpatient services (including MAT) through its telehealth program. Telehealth is ideal for clients who cannot travel to the treatment center regularly.

Male clients who have completed treatment but want additional care before returning home can apply for the transitional living program. Clients in this program live in one of several drug free and secure community living homes. During their stay, they work with staff to practice recovery skills and participate in group therapy in peer support groups. Transitional living helps clients practice recovery skills before returning to their home environment.

Treatment

Alcoholism

Individuals who suffer from alcoholism drink to the extent that they harm themselves or others and have an impaired ability to stop drinking. Their alcohol use disorder may be classified as mild, moderate, or severe. At any level, alcohol rehab in Missouri can help individuals overcome alcohol addiction. Treatment includes physiological, psychological, and social aspects to provide comprehensive care that leads to long-term recovery.

Drug Addiction

Drug rehab in Missouri usually involves several phases: detox, rehab, and aftercare. The rehab phase may include a combination of inpatient and outpatient treatments, as the individual moves through a continuum of care on their recovery journey.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance Abuse

Substance abuse treatment programs in Missouri help individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. These programs utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. With a range of treatment options available, including outpatient, inpatient, and residential programs, you can find the right program to meet your unique needs and improve your quality of life.

Level of Care

Outpatient

Outpatient rehab enables clients to continue to work, attend school, or reside at home while undergoing treatment, including addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Evening, night, and weekend sessions are available at many facilities to ensure continuous access to care on the client’s schedule. Many centers also offer ancillary services, such as career coaching and peer mentoring, to promote clients’ sustained recovery and community integration. Higher-level outpatient treatment, including intensive outpatient (IOP) care, is also widely available.

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Clinical Services

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
